The ADC’s internal power struggle reached a boiling point this week after a Federal High Court in Abuja blocked David Mark’s faction from further interfering with the party’s elected state executives.
Kachikwu, speaking on Arise TV, alleged that Mark’s group used illegally constituted ad hoc committees to displace existing officials. He claimed sidelined state chairmen later admitted they had been deceived, with the faction reportedly telling them: “You guys are too poor for us, you are commoners, we cannot work with you.”
The presiding judge reportedly described the faction’s convention as a “kangaroo convention.” Mark’s team has vowed to appeal, insisting: “We shall triumph in all the cases.”
