President Tinubu praised Lebara Nigeria’s launch, highlighting telecom sector growth and reaffirming his administration’s commitment to supporting digital investment.
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has welcomed the launch of Lebara Nigeria, describing it as a strong vote of confidence in Nigeria’s digital economy. In a statement signed by his adviser Bayo Onanuga, Tinubu said, “I congratulate Lebara Nigeria on its official launch. This milestone reflects confidence in Nigeria’s digital economy.”
He noted the telecom sector recorded 5.78 per cent year-on-year growth in Q3 2025 and contributes over 14 per cent to GDP. CEO Mrs Teniola Stuffman said, “Nigeria stands at a defining moment… Our entry into the market is driven by this conviction.” The President reaffirmed support for an “investment-friendly environment.”
