Victor Osimhen became Galatasaray’s highest-scoring foreign player in European competitions after netting his 13th continental goal in a 3–2 defeat to Juventus.

Victor Osimhen reached the milestone on Wednesday night when he scored Galatasaray’s opening goal in their 3–2 loss to Juventus at the Allianz Stadium. The strike marked his 13th goal in European competitions for the Turkish champions, setting a new club record for foreign players.

The 27-year-old forward surpassed the previous record of 12 goals held by former Czech international Milan Baros. Osimhen’s latest effort further underlined his importance to the Istanbul-based side in continental tournaments.

He has now recorded seven goals and two assists in the UEFA Champions League this season, placing him joint fourth among the competition’s top scorers alongside Erling Haaland of Manchester City. Despite the defeat, Osimhen’s individual achievement provided a notable highlight for Galatasaray.
