Victor Osimhen says Napoli’s TikTok mockery and alleged broken promises led to his departure, claiming he was mistreated and subjected to racist insults by the club.
Victor Osimhen has accused his former club Napoli of humiliating and mistreating him following a TikTok post that mocked his missed penalty during the 2023–24 season, saying the incident marked the beginning of their fractured relationship and eventual exit.
Speaking to Gazzetta dello Sport, the Galatasaray forward said, “Anyone can miss a penalty… Napoli only did it to me,” alleging racist insults and claiming a gentlemen’s agreement allowing him to leave was not fully honored, adding, “They tried to send me to play everywhere, treating me like a dog… I’m not a puppet,” while expressing sympathy for Napoli fans and denying rumours of unprofessional conduct.
