Peter Obi has confirmed his 2027 presidential bid, pledging to contest despite alleged obstacles and promising reforms in education, healthcare, and national development.
Former Anambra State governor, Peter Obi, has declared he will contest the 2027 presidential election regardless of alleged attempts to block his candidacy. Speaking at the OBIDIENT Conference in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State, Obi said, “I want to assure you that I will contest the coming election even if it is held in their bedroom, and if they don’t want to transmit the results, we will transmit them for them.”
Obi also criticised the current administration’s borrowing record, warning that much of the debt will be repaid between 2045 and 2050. He pledged that his government would prioritise education and healthcare, emphasising sustainable development through human capital. Tanko Yunusa, OBIDIENT Movement coordinator, urged supporters to mobilise, while Ben Smith highlighted the 2027 election as a chance for generational change, jobs, and security for Nigerians.
