Kendrick, Bad Bunny…: Grammys’ top prize winners

Bad Bunny and Kendrick Lamar dominated the 68th Grammy Awards in Los Angeles, making history with major wins including Album and Record of the Year.

The 68th annual Grammy Awards were held on Sunday in Los Angeles, celebrating the biggest achievements in global music over the past year. Puerto Rican superstar Bad Bunny emerged as one of the night’s biggest winners after clinching Album of the Year for “Debi Tirar Mas Fotos,” marking the first time a Spanish-language album has won the prestigious category. He also picked up Best Musica Urbana Album for the same project.

Rapper Kendrick Lamar also had a standout night, winning five awards, including Record of the Year for “luther” featuring SZA. Lamar further secured Best Rap Album for “GNX” and Best Rap Performance for “Chains & Whips” by Clipse, which featured Lamar alongside Pharrell Williams. The award for Song of the Year went to “Wildflower,” written by Billie Eilish O’Connell and Finneas O’Connell, and performed by Billie Eilish.

Other notable winners included Olivia Dean, who took home Best New Artist, and Lady Gaga, whose “Mayhem” won Best Pop Vocal Album. Lola Young claimed Best Pop Solo Performance for “Messy,” while Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grande won Best Pop Duo/Group Performance for “Defying Gravity.” Doechii earned Best Music Video for “Anxiety,” rounding out a night marked by historic wins and diverse global representation.
