A 40-year-old woman in Nasarawa State has sparked controversy after confessing to an affair with her 23-year-old stepson in a desperate bid to conceive a child following her husband’s sudden impotence.
Residents of Bargu community in Awe Local Government Area, Nasarawa State, have been left in disbelief following a startling confession by 40-year-old Esther Jemkwe. Mrs. Jemkwe revealed that she engaged in a sexual relationship with her 23-year-old stepson, Theophilus, out of a desperate desire to bear a child for her husband, Audu Jemkwe. According to Esther, the plan was conceived after she discovered that her husband, a 51-year-old carpenter, had unexpectedly become impotent shortly after their marriage in 2022, leaving her reproductive hopes in jeopardy.
The marriage, which began with high expectations, reportedly took a turn for the worse when Audu’s virility vanished almost immediately after the wedding. Before marrying Esther, Audu had been single for years following the collapse of a previous union that produced Theophilus, who stayed with his father and trained as an automobile mechanic. Esther explained that the sudden medical crisis was a source of deep shame that she felt unable to share with outsiders, leading her to seek a solution within the family unit to ensure her husband had an heir.
Recalling the traumatic realization of her husband’s condition, Esther stated: “His manhood stopped functioning the moment I moved into his house. We did everything humanly possible to revive it but to no avail.
