Court throws PDP convention out , Wike’s camp rejoices

An Ibadan Federal High Court has nullified the Peoples Democratic Party’s November 15, 2025 National Convention and barred the Tanimu Turaki-led National Working Committee from acting as the party’s national leadership.

A Federal High Court sitting in Ibadan has nullified the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) National Convention held in Ibadan, Oyo State, on November 15, 2025.

In its ruling, the court barred members of the National Working Committee (NWC) led by Tanimu Turaki from parading themselves as national officers of the party.

The court further ruled that the Caretaker Committee led by Mohammed Abdulrahman and Senator Samuel Anyanwu remains the only recognised National Working Committee of the PDP, pending the conduct of a valid National Convention.
