Former President Olusegun Obasanjo on Tuesday held a closed-door meeting with former Military President, General Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida (retd), at his Hilltop residence in Minna, the Niger State capital. Sources at the Ahmed Bola Tinubu International Airport, Minna, said Obasanjo was received on arrival and escorted by officials of the Niger State Government House to Babangida’s home.
The meeting reportedly lasted about 30 minutes, after which Obasanjo was conveyed back to the airport under the same official protocol. No official comments were made by aides or associates of Babangida, and as of late Tuesday night, there was no statement from either party or any other quarters on the purpose of the visit.
