The Kaduna State Police Command has dismissed reports alleging the mass abduction of over 100 worshippers during a church service in Kurmin Wali village, Kajuru Local Government Area, describing the claims as false and deliberately misleading.
Speaking after a State Security Council meeting on Monday, the Commissioner of Police, Muhammad Rabiu, challenged anyone to provide the names or details of the alleged victims, warning that “rumour mongers” would face the full weight of the law. Kajuru council chairman, Dauda Madaki, said security agencies found no evidence of any attack after visiting the church, quoting local leaders who confirmed that “nothing of the sort happened,” while the Commissioner of Internal Security and Home Affairs, Sule Shauibu (SAN), added that religious leaders also verified that the reports were “completely false,” stressing that the Kaduna State Government has “zero tolerance for criminality.”
