Abidjan – Mohamed Salah and Egypt are one step closer to African Cup of Nations (AFCON) glory after a thrilling 3-2 victory over defending champions Ivory Coast in the quarter-finals.
Egypt took the lead through a penalty converted by Salah, but Ivory Coast responded quickly. However, Egypt regained control with two more goals, putting them firmly in the driver’s seat. Despite a late goal from Ivory Coast, Egypt held on to secure their place in the semi-finals.
