Former Ekiti State Governor Ayodele Fayose has said that former Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi, is the only prominent figure sustaining the African Democratic Congress (ADC), describing other members of the party as largely irrelevant. Fayose made the remark on Friday during an interview on Politics Today, a programme aired on Channels Television and monitored by DAILY POST.
The former governor also declared that the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) is effectively defunct, insisting that Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde should not be blamed for the party’s internal crisis. Fayose further reiterated his open support for President Bola Tinubu during the 2023 presidential election, stating that he remains consistent in his stance while maintaining that he is neither a member of the All Progressives Congress (APC) nor intends to join the party.
