Bwala sparks controversy, says he knows where ‘madman adviser’ to Peter Obi stayed in Anambra

Daniel Bwala, special adviser to President Bola Tinubu on policy communication, has criticised the Labour Party’s 2023 presidential candidate, Peter Obi, describing him as a “character-in-chief” and accusing him of engaging in political theatrics. Speaking during an interview on The Clarity Zone Podcast, hosted by Chinedu Emmanuel, popularly known as Nedu, Bwala said Obi presented what he termed a fictitious version of reality to his supporters, adding that the former Anambra State governor had sold them an unrealistic picture of leadership and governance.

Bwala argued that the fallout from the 2023 election defeat had exposed what he described as the unsustainability of that narrative, claiming that Obi’s supporters struggled to accept the outcome. He further alleged that some of them had since become combative across media platforms, attributing the behaviour to the challenges of leadership and unmet expectations following the election.
