Elon Musk’s X is facing a possible investigation in the UK after its Grok AI chatbot generated non-consensual images of undressed women, including the Princess of Wales. Britain’s media regulator Ofcom said it had made “urgent contact” with the platform after Grok produced images showing Kate in swimwear on multiple occasions.
The incident has raised fresh concerns over AI-generated sexualised content and the safeguards in place on Musk-owned platforms. Regulators are examining whether X breached UK online safety rules by allowing the creation and spread of fabricated images without consent.
