The Lagos State Police Command has summoned Pastor Chris Okafor, Senior Pastor of Mountain of Liberation and Miracles Ministries, to report to the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID), Panti, over allegations of multiple rape, other sexual offences, and conduct likely to cause a breach of public peace.
Pastor Okafor is expected to appear by 10:00 a.m. on Monday, January 5, 2026, following the service of a police invitation letter through his legal representative.
The Commissioner of Police, CP Olohundare Jimoh, has directed a thorough investigation into the allegations, with full security coverage provided for the victims.
CP Jimoh also called on any individuals who may have been victims or who possess credible information related to the investigation to come forward, assuring that their identities will be kept confidential. “The investigation will be conducted in a professional, transparent, and unbiased manner, in line with the laws of the land,” he said.
The Lagos State Police Command emphasized that law and order will be upheld and that no person, regardless of status, is above the law, reinforcing its commitment to ensuring justice in all cases.
