Senior Pastor of Mountain of Liberation and Miracle Ministries, Dr. Chris Okafor, has issued an ultimatum to a woman, Ms. Chi Okafor, who claims to be his daughter, demanding that she submit to a DNA test to substantiate her claim. Speaking through his lawyer, Maxwell Opara, at a press conference in Owerri, the cleric denied being her biological father.
Okafor also demanded a retraction of all publications linking him to alleged abandonment, insisting the claims were false and defamatory. Opara said the alleged daughter and her sibling were “products of infidelity” by the pastor’s estranged wife, describing the online allegations as cyberbullying, cyberharassment and criminal defamation.
According to Opara, “Any assertion suggesting that our Client abandoned a spouse or children is therefore false, misleading, defamatory, and constitutes cyber bullying.” He warned that failure to retract the claims, publish apologies and submit to a DNA test would attract legal action, while also cautioning social media commentators against spreading the allegations.
