FIFA accused of pricing out disabled fans for 2026 World Cup

FIFA has been accused of pricing out disabled fans at the 2026 men’s World Cup by Europe’s leading soccer supporters’ group.

In a letter written to the sport’s governing body on Tuesday, addressed directly to FIFA president Gianni Infantino, the Disability & Inclusion Fan Network of Football Supporters Europe (FSE) described ticket prices for the tournament as “extreme” and “prohibitively expensive”.

FSE urged FIFA, in the letter seen by The Athletic, to reduce prices for disabled fans, allow companions to attend for free and and engage with fans’ groups to “ensure ticketing policies are fair, inclusive, and aligned with lived experience”.
