BUA rewards 510 staff with N30bn at long service awards

BUA Group has rewarded 510 employees with a total of N30 billion at its 2025 Night of Excellence and Long Service Awards, marking one of the largest employee reward initiatives by a Nigerian private sector firm. The ceremony honoured staff with service records ranging from five years to over four decades, recognising loyalty and exceptional contributions to the company’s growth.

Speaking at the event, Founder and Executive Chairman, Abdul Samad Rabiu, said the occasion was to celebrate commitment, resilience, and shared ownership of the BUA journey. He noted that although the Group has grown into one of Nigeria’s most valuable listed companies, its success was driven by employees who believed in the vision early. According to him, “every factory built… carries the imprint of employees who believed in the vision.”

As part of the awards, only 41 top recipients received their cheques on stage due to time constraints, with awards ranging from N100 million to N1 billion. A special, undisclosed award was presented to Kabiru Rabiu for outstanding loyalty and leadership. Rabiu said the cash rewards were symbolic, adding that BUA would continue expanding while growing alongside the people who built the company.
