Minaj mocked the governor with messages such as, “Oh Gavvy pooh, it only gets worse from here,” and accused him of “running on wanting to see trans kids.” She also wrote, “Normal adults wake up & think they want to see HEALTHY, SAFE, HAPPY kids. Not Gav.”
Minaj continued her criticism by describing Newsom as someone who “got everything handed to him” and joking that “his next mission IS impossible.” Vice President JD Vance added to the online exchange, posting, “Nicki > Cardi.” Newsom recently told a podcast host he wants “to see trans kids,” citing California’s pro-trans legislation. He previously acknowledged that men competing in women’s sports is “deeply unfair.”
