The Christian Association of Nigeria, Oyo State chapter, has confirmed the release of Ibukunoluwa Otesile, the daughter of Olalekan Babatunde, founder and general overseer of Jesus Is King Ministries.
Oyo CAN’s spokesperson, Olamide Olanrewaju, said in a statement that Mrs Otesile, kidnapped on December 4 in front of her Akobo residence, was released on Tuesday. She was dropped off unhurt at the Agbowo Expressway in Ibadan.
The association thanked the public for their prayers and support, noting that the mother of two is now reunited with her family. Mrs Otesile was abducted around 8 p.m. in the General Gas area of Akobo, prompting concerns within the community.
CAN assured that further details would be communicated as security agencies continue investigating the incident.
