A U.S. court sentenced Nigerian nationals David Daniyan and Akeem Balogun for their roles in a bank and wire fraud conspiracy. They were part of a criminal network led by Oluwaseun Adekoya.
Daniyan received 54 months in prison and must pay over $2.2 million in restitution. Balogun was sentenced to 21 months and ordered to pay $262,200. Both men had previously pleaded guilty.
