Nigerian government reports 10,000+ gender-based violence cases

The Nigerian Federal Government recorded over 10,000 gender-based violence cases from January to September 2025, with 2,444 survivors receiving care. The Minister of Women Affairs highlighted this at a dialogue on technology-facilitated violence.

Key solutions proposed included relaunching a national electronic dashboard, establishing an emergency response fund, and creating a national online gender safety policy. The dialogue aimed to strengthen coordination and develop a national roadmap for prevention.
