The Edo State Police Command is investigating the killing of an Inspector by suspected armed robbers on Friday in Benin City. The officer was shot during a routine stop-and-search on Ugbowo–Lagos road.
Public Relations Officer Moses Yamu confirmed the incident, stating an intensive manhunt is underway. Commissioner Monday Agbonika urged public vigilance and cooperation with security agencies.
