Osun State Police Command arrested a 50-year-old man in Ilesa for allegedly defiling a 12-year-old girl. The victim’s mother reported the incident after finding a suspicious substance on her daughter’s underwear, prompting the girl to reveal the assaults.
Medical examination confirmed sexual assault and forceful penetration. Investigations revealed the suspect had defiled the victim since July 2025, exploiting her widowed mother’s vulnerable condition for N200 per act. Commissioner Ibrahim Gotan condemned this disturbing act.
