The All Progressives Congress (APC) Screening Committee has disqualified former APC National Secretary Iyiola Omisore and six other aspirants from the Osun State governorship primary, citing nomination irregularities. The decision, announced on December 5, 2025, stemmed from a lack of required sponsorship proof.
Only two candidates, Mulikat Abiola Jimoh and Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji, were cleared to proceed. The committee recommended immediate reconciliation efforts to unify the deeply divided state party ahead of the August 2026 gubernatorial election.
