UK unveils £12.4m programmes to support Nigeria

The United Kingdom launched two programmes worth £12.4 million to support Nigeria’s economic reforms. The initiatives aim to boost macroeconomic stability, fiscal resilience, and private-sector growth through targeted technical assistance.

Nigerian officials welcomed the support as a timely partnership aligned with the government’s growth plan. The grant-based programmes, NEST and NPFF, will focus on areas including tax policy, debt strategy, and diversification until 2029.
