The Ondo State Security Network Agency (Amotekun) recently announced the arrest of five suspects linked to kidnapping, attempted abduction, and fraud. Commander Akogun Adetunji Adeleye stated these arrests were part of ‘Operation Le Won Jade’ and other security efforts.
During a kidnapping incident, Amotekun rescued four passengers, though a bus driver was killed. Separately, the corps foiled an attempted abduction of a female correctional service officer. Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa has approved recruiting 500 new Amotekun personnel.
