Nasarawa summit tackles basic education challenges

The Nasarawa State government hosted an education summit to address challenges and improve learning outcomes in basic education. Organized by SUBEB, the event gathered diverse stakeholders including Governor Abdullahi Sule, who pledged sustained investment and reforms.

Key issues like poor infrastructure, teacher shortages, and truancy were identified. Solutions include procuring 30,000 chairs, employing more teachers, and redeploying 1,900 administrative staff to classrooms. Parents are urged to enroll out-of-school children to avoid sanctions.
