The federal government’s TVET initiative has paid its first tranche, benefiting 42,000 students and 600 vocational centers. Each student received a N22,500 monthly stipend for upkeep and transport, while centers were paid for training services. The Minister of Education, Tunji Alausa, stated this supports the training ecosystem and student focus.
Director Folasade Boriowo announced the disbursement in Abuja. President Bola Tinubu’s directive drives this initiative, aiming to equip youth with skills for job creation and economic growth under the Renewed Hope Agenda. Launched in May, the program’s timely funding sustains its rapid progress from registration to practical training.
