The Kebbi State House of Assembly has approved a N642.93 billion budget for 2026. This unanimous decision on Thursday followed Governor Nasir Idris’s presentation on November 27. The Joint Committee on Finance and Appropriation and Budget Monitoring, Economic Planning and Due Process reviewed the bill.
Committee Chairman Adamu Muhammad confirmed the assembly retained the governor’s proposed figures. Recurrent expenditure is N163.57 billion (25%), with capital expenditure at N479.36 billion (75%). Speaker Muhammad Usman-Zuru commended the thorough legislative work.
