The Petroleum and Natural Gas Senior Staff Association of Nigeria (PENGASSAN) calls on the Federal Government to identify and prosecute terror sponsors, and to urgently address the rising wave of kidnappings. The union warns that escalating insecurity gravely threatens national development and citizen safety, emphasizing decisive action over mere personnel changes.
PENGASSAN also highlighted Nigeria’s economic hardships, urging policies that reduce food prices and enable farmers to return to work. The union noted unresolved issues with Dangote Refinery and advocated for wage reviews in the oil and gas sector to prevent a brain drain, amidst the retirement of General Secretary Lumumba Okugbawa.
