Gombe magistrate Mohammed Suleiman Kumo was arraigned by the EFCC on Wednesday, facing three counts of extortion and bribery totaling over N1.4 million. The charges allege he received funds through a registrar’s bank account.
Kumo pleaded not guilty before Justice H. H. Kereng, who granted him interim bail. The case is adjourned to January 13 and 14, 2026, for a bail ruling and continuation of the hearing.
