The House of Representatives has issued a 72-hour ultimatum to Presidential Amnesty Programme (PAP) Coordinator Dennis Otuaro to appear before its Public Accounts Committee by December 9, 2025. This follows six missed invitations to address audit queries involving over N26 billion. The committee warned an arrest warrant would be issued if Otuaro fails to comply.
The Auditor-General’s report alleges severe financial breaches, including N17.6 billion in e-payment policy violations, N3.6 billion without internal audit checks, and N1.5 billion in tuition fees lacking documentation. Other issues cited are procurement process circumvention and N1.2 billion in excessive cash advances.
