Justice Othman Musa of the FCT High Court has issued an exparte order to seal a disputed property in Lekki, Lagos, amid a fundamental rights suit filed by Mr. Henry Ugonna Orabuchi. Orabuchi claims the Nigeria Police and other respondents infringed his rights over land purchased from Mr. Emecheta Elvis Eze, who allegedly denied him access after reclamation.
The order restrains the police from further action against Orabuchi and directs the Assistant Inspector General of Police, Zone 2, Lagos State, and the 6th respondent to secure the entire property, halting all activities. The Federal Ministry of Housing and Urban Development is now the 7th respondent, with the next hearing scheduled for December 16, 2025.
