Troops from Headquarters 6 Brigade, Nigerian Army/Sector 3 Operation Whirl Stroke, neutralized two bandits, destroyed hideouts, and arrested Dahiru Maigari in Taraba State. This followed “Operation Zafin Wuta” on December 2 across Takum LGA villages, targeting armed groups in the Tor-Tser area. Bandits attempted to obstruct troops by burning a bridge but were pushed into Benue State.
In a separate incident on December 4, a fighting patrol near Karim Lamido engaged armed bandits from the Karimjo faction, neutralizing two. Troops recovered an AK-47 rifle and ammunition without suffering casualties. Brigadier General Kingsley Chidiebere Uwa commended the troops, affirming the Nigerian Army’s resolve to eliminate threats to peace in Taraba.
