Kano State Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf announced plans to acquire drones and logistics for border surveillance. This initiative aims to counter bandit attacks in vulnerable communities, following his assessment of Joint Task Force operations in Tsanyawa and Shanono LGAs.
The move comes amidst escalating insecurity along the Kano–Katsina border. Governor Yusuf also sought federal backing from President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and urged the JTF to secure the release of kidnapped residents.
