Trump threatens Biden with perjury over autopen use

President Trump on Friday claimed he was cancelling all documents signed by former President Joe Biden through an autopen and warned Biden could be charged with perjury if he insists he approved those signatures. Trump argued that “approximately 92%” of Biden’s documents were auto-penned without proper authorization, saying, “Any document signed by Sleepy Joe Biden with the Autopen… is hereby terminated.”

He also alleged that aides “illegally” operated the device and added, “If he says he was [involved], he will be brought up on charges of perjury.” Although Trump has already reversed many Biden-era orders, experts say autopen signatures carry full legal weight if used under presidential direction. A GOP-led House probe found no direct evidence that Biden’s staff acted without approval, while Biden’s team declined to comment.
