Former Google CEO Eric Schmidt is facing explosive allegations from ex-mistress Michelle Ritter, who accuses him of rape, stalking, secret surveillance and harassment, claims his legal team calls a “desperate and destructive effort.”
Former Google CEO Eric Schmidt has been accused by ex-girlfriend Michelle Ritter of rape, stalking, harassment and high-tech spying, including claims that he secretly filmed her nude, hacked her devices, and subjected her to coercive control throughout their relationship.
Ritter told a Los Angeles court that Schmidt “followed me into a shower, slammed me against the wall, and forcibly raped me,” later attempting to convince her that she “enjoyed the assault,” and alleged he raped her again at Burning Man in 2023. She further claimed he installed hidden cameras, used a “backdoor” into Google systems to monitor her, intimidated her physically, and deployed private investigators to follow her and her family.
Schmidt’s attorney Patricia Glaser dismissed the accusations as a “desperate and destructive effort to publish false and defamatory statements,” while Ritter’s lawyer argued that “a billionaire tech titan… abused a brilliant young woman, for his personal satisfaction.” The case remains before the court.
