Ayodele Fayose has accused former President Olusegun Obasanjo of humiliating him at his 65th birthday, claiming Obasanjo suffers from “dementia” and recounting multiple confrontations that ended their relationship permanently.
Former Ekiti State Governor, Ayodele Fayose, has alleged that former President Olusegun Obasanjo humiliated him at his 65th birthday celebration, insisting he never sought Obasanjo’s forgiveness and only reached out as part of a peace gesture.
Fayose said Obasanjo publicly twisted events, demanded private arrangements including flight costs, collected money through intermediaries, and later “disparaged” him at the event, prompting Fayose to say, “I felt like taking the mic from him and hitting him on the head.”
He accused Obasanjo of a long history of attacking political figures, adding, “Do you want to tell me he has no dementia? No, no, no. He has dementia.” Fayose stated that despite forgiving Obasanjo for past political grievances, their relationship is now irreparably damaged, declaring “that’s the end.”
