Vigilantes in Egbe, Kogi State, repelled an early-morning bandit attack on Odorum after a brief but intense confrontation.
According to a report from SAHARAREPORTERS, armed bandits attempted to invade Odorum in Egbe, Yagba West LGA of Kogi State in the early hours of Monday but were pushed back by the swift response of local vigilantes.
Sources said the confrontation was brief yet intense, preventing what could have been a major security breach, with no casualties recorded as of early assessments. The incident comes amid heightened fear in the area, following last week’s kidnapping of a timber supplier and his worker in Okoloke, also in Yagba West, as communities along the Kogi–Kwara corridor continue to grapple with rising attacks and abductions.
