Boko Haram survivor hails Trump over plans for ‘vicious’ military move in Nigeria

Boko Haram survivor Paul Adamu backs Trump’s threat of “vicious” action, recounting scenes of mass killings and burned churches in Nigeria.

ABUJA, Nigeria (AP) — As U.S. President Donald Trump considers what he called a “vicious” military response to the persecution of Christians in Nigeria, one survivor of Islamist terror has voiced support for his stance.

“I want to thank and applaud President Donald Trump for designating Nigeria as a CPC [Country of Particular Concern] because this is one of the things that we have always wanted,” said Paul Adamu, a Christian kidnapped two years ago by Boko Haram, on “Fox & Friends Weekend.”

Trump on Saturday warned the U.S. would halt aid to Nigeria and might intervene militarily to “completely wipe out the Islamic terrorists.”

Nigerian President Bola Ahmed Tinubu rejected Trump’s remarks, saying the claim of religious intolerance “does not reflect our national reality.”

Adamu said he has “witnessed where terrorism is at the highest point,” describing burned churches and “people killed and slaughtered like chickens every day.”
