United Airlines briefly grounded flights in the U.S. and Canada on Wednesday due to a connectivity issue, delaying nearly 200 flights.
United Airlines flights across the U.S. and Canada were grounded early Wednesday due to a technical problem, the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) said. The ground stop began just before 1 a.m. EDT and was lifted about 30 minutes later.
A United spokesperson told Fox News the airline experienced a “brief connectivity issue” that forced flights to be held. According to tracking site FlightAware, at least 14 flights were canceled and 189 delayed by Wednesday afternoon.
The incident follows another technological disruption just last month that grounded United flights at multiple U.S. airports. Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy said at the time the airline reported an “internal tech outage.”
