Traffic diversions have been announced in Ibadan as Oba Rashidi Ladoja is crowned 44th Olubadan, with President Tinubu expected to attend.
The Coronation Organising Committee has announced traffic diversions in Ibadan ahead of the installation of the 44th Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Rashidi Ladoja, on Friday, September 26, at Mapo Hall.
In a statement on Tuesday, the security sub-committee chaired by former CCII President, Chief Bayo Oyero, said the diversions were necessary due to the attendance of President Bola Tinubu.
From 7:00 a.m., routes to be closed include Beere Junction inward Mapo Hall, Born Photo Junction inward Oja’ba, Idi-Arere Junction inward Oja’ba, and Itamerin Junction inward Mapo Hall.
To ease traffic, three official parking areas have been designated at Ibadan North Local Government car park, the football field beside Yemetu Police Station, and Liberty Stadium, Oke Ado, with shuttle buses to convey guests with invitation cards to the venue.
Only the convoys of President Tinubu and Governor Seyi Makinde will be permitted direct access to Mapo Hall.
