IGP names Hundeyin as new police public relations officer

IGP Kayode Egbetokun has appointed CSP Benjamin Hundeyin as the new spokesperson of the Nigerian Police Force, replacing DCP Olumuyiwa Adejobi.

The Inspector-General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun, has approved the appointment of CSP Benjamin Hundeyin as the new Public Relations Officer (PRO) of the Nigerian Police Force.

Outgoing spokesman, DCP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, confirmed the appointment in a statement on Thursday.

Hundeyin, a graduate of English Language from Lagos State University, also holds an MSc in Legal Criminology & Security Psychology from the University of Ibadan. He is a member of NIPR, IPRA, and an associate of CIPM.

A seasoned communicator, he previously served as Lagos Police PRO and was part of the UN Peacekeeping Mission in Darfur in 2020.

Egbetokun urged Hundeyin to leverage his experience to strengthen police-public relations.
