Bill Clinton’s recent sighting with a portable defibrillator bag has fueled fresh speculation about his health, amid his long battle with heart disease.
Former U.S. President Bill Clinton is facing renewed scrutiny over his health after he and his wife, Hillary Clinton, were spotted in the Hamptons this week with a portable defibrillator bag. The couple was photographed Thursday carrying what appeared to be a Propaq MD Air Medical Bag, a transport monitor and defibrillator commonly used during emergencies, as they boarded a private plane.
Clinton, 79, dressed in a blue jacket and tan hat, walked with his security detail, while Hillary, the former secretary of state and 2016 Democratic presidential nominee, covered up in a black sweatshirt over a blue two-piece outfit. The images immediately sparked speculation about Clinton’s condition, given his long history of heart troubles.
The former president has battled serious health challenges for more than two decades, including undergoing a quadruple bypass in 2004 and multiple hospitalizations in subsequent years. His stumble on a New York City sidewalk just two months ago had already raised concerns about his physical state.
The Clintons have not publicly addressed the latest health questions.
