White House breaks silence on Donald Trump’s recent doctor appointment

The White House says President Trump has made “no changes” to his lifestyle following his July diagnosis with chronic venous insufficiency.

Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt, speaking at Tuesday’s briefing, confirmed the 79-year-old president remains under observation but declined to provide further medical details.

“I don’t want to make that commitment on behalf of the physician, but it’s certainly something we can look into… because unlike the previous White House, there is nothing to hide,” Leavitt said.

She noted Trump continues to work and move as usual, despite swelling in his lower limbs. A medical letter last month ruled out deep vein thrombosis or arterial disease, confirming the condition is common among older adults.

Trump’s physician, Dr. Sean Barbabella, said bruising on the president’s hand — covered with cosmetics — is “consistent with minor soft tissue irritation from frequent handshaking and the use of aspirin” as part of cardiovascular prevention.

Leavitt dismissed concerns over Trump mistakenly stating that this week’s summit with Vladimir Putin would be in Russia rather than Alaska.

“The president remains in excellent health,” she declared.
