Slater Christopher, Founder of Solicitude Beyond Borders Foundation, has revealed plans to transform lives through goat rearing and drone technology. Speaking in an interview, he explained the foundation’s focus on education and skills acquisition for out-of-school children and unemployed youths.
“We are doing this to change their social situation,” he said, noting the decline in education and skills in Nigeria. He highlighted a partnership with the Obidient Movement aimed at grassroots development. “They give me the direction that I have to go in terms of establishing and redeveloping the grassroots in our various communities,” he stated.
Two key initiatives include a goat rearing programme in Abuja and a drone technology training to help improve security. “After training, we will establish them so that they can be self-sufficient,” he said.
Christopher said the foundation plans to collaborate with the Federal Government on security, while accommodation and feeding have been arranged for trainees. Selection for the first trial was done through a recent programme held in Warri, Delta State.
