Femi Oladele, alias ‘Tallex,’ the landlord and prime suspect in the murder of two students of Adekunle Ajasin University, has died while in police custody. Oladele was arrested alongside two others for the kidnapping, robbery, rape, and murder of Andrew Eloho Okah, 25, and John Friday Abba, 19, both 200-level students. Following the discovery of Okah’s decomposed body in a forest bordering Ondo and Ekiti states, Oladele confessed, citing Okah’s “disrespectful attitude” as motive.

After his confession, Oladele reportedly developed a sudden illness and died in the hospital. A source stated, “We were told that he died after falling sick… but the police is saying that he died yesterday (Friday). It is confusing.”

Police spokesperson Olayinka Ayanlade confirmed the death, saying, “Tallex had been in and out of the hospital under close medical supervision… before he died.” He added, “Efforts are ongoing to locate Abba’s body… justice will be fully pursued.”
