Nigerian artist Olaolu Akeredolu-Ale, known as Slawn, has become the first artist to have his work featured on a Formula 1 car.

“First artist in the world to have his work on an F1 car that’s going to race in the British GP. Painting the way one vehicle at a time,” Slawn wrote on Instagram.
He also designed drivers’ race suits and team uniforms. Speaking to Motorsport.com, he said, “You’ve got to think about the curvature and everything… I’ll just give them some graphics.”
Racing Bulls CEO Peter Bayer praised the project as a creative breakthrough. Hugo Boss executive James Foster described it as “a brilliant demonstration of the power of going your own way.”
Slawn’s journey began in Lagos and includes collaborations with Louis Vuitton, Rolex, and Ferrari.
