Users of X, the platform formerly known as Twitter, experienced a widespread outage on Saturday, May 24, rendering both its website and mobile app inaccessible.

The disruption began around 1:30 p.m., with reports peaking at 1:39 p.m., according to outage tracker DownDetector.co.uk.

User complaints surged from 66 to over 11,000 within minutes, marking the second major service failure in less than 48 hours. On May 22, a previous outage affected millions, disrupting direct messages, login access, and other core features across mobile and desktop platforms.
